How to view past bottles

Every bottle you take out of your collection moves to Past bottles — a searchable, filterable archive of what you have drunk, gifted, sold or otherwise removed. On iPhone and iPad it is the Past tab of your Collection.

All seven removal reasons land here — Consumed, Gifted, Sold, Broken, Expired, Donated and Missing — along with any custom reasons your collection has set up.

Collection value and bottle count Stop counting it
Analytics and Year in Review Read Consumed only — that is the reason that marks a bottle as drunk. The other reasons simply label it
Activity feed Keeps the removal as a dated event
Your reviews and tasting notes Untouched — they belong to the wine, not the bottle
  1. Open the Collection tab. On iPad, tap Collection in the left sidebar.
  2. Tap Past, at the top of the list. The number beside it is how many bottles you have removed.
  3. Tap a wine to drill into its individual bottles, with the reason, date and note for each one.
iPhone & iPad: Collection → Past → tap a wine

View all in the Past Bottles section on Home opens the same tab. That section only appears once you have removed at least one bottle. If it is missing after that, switch it back on in Customize home.

  1. On Home, scroll to the Past Bottles section and tap View all.
  2. Tap a wine to see its individual bottles.
  1. Sign in at app.invintory.com and click Past bottles in the left sidebar.
  2. Click Change columns to choose what each row shows.
  • Search and filter. The Removal, Ratings and Tags chips sit under the search bar; the full filter sheet adds removal date and everything you can filter by on your Collection page. Display settings control which details show on each row. On iPhone and iPad, your search text carries over when you switch between the Current and Past tabs, but each keeps its own filters.
  • Put bottles back. Select the bottles, then choose Undo removal. On iPhone and iPad, VinLocate opens afterwards so you can place them back into slots.
  • Export. Download a CSV grouped by label or grouped by bottle.
  • Review. Open any past bottle to read the review you left or write one now.
