How to change your email address
The web app changes the address on your account whichever way you sign in: go to app.invintory.com/settings, scroll to Account, edit Email and save. In the iPhone and iPad app, that row only opens if you sign in with an email and password.
The new address is what we email you at, what shows in Settings, and what you type if you sign in with a password. It is also the address invitations and receipts go to, so it is worth putting on an inbox you actually read.
On the web app — any sign-in method
Section titled “On the web app — any sign-in method”app.invintory.com/settings → Account → Email → Save- Go to app.invintory.com/settings and sign in.
- Scroll down to Account.
- Click the Email field and type the new address.
- Click Save. It takes effect straight away.
On iPhone and iPad
Section titled “On iPhone and iPad”Profile → gear → Email → current password → new address → Save- Tap Profile in the bottom bar, then the gear in the top right.
- Under Account, tap Email.
- Enter your current password — this only proves it is you.
- Type the new address and tap Save.
If you signed in with Apple or Google, the app will not open that row, because there is no password to confirm. Use the web app instead.
We also send a verification link to the new address. The change is already saved when the app says Email updated; opening the link simply confirms the inbox is yours.
On Android
Section titled “On Android”Android shows the address on your account under Account but cannot change it yet. Use the web app.
If the address is refused
Section titled “If the address is refused”“A profile with that email already exists” means the address is already on another InVintory account — usually a second one you created by signing in a different way. One address can only belong to one account, so free it up by deleting the other account, or message us and we will work out which account holds your wine.
