How to import from CellarTracker

Sign in with your CellarTracker username and password, choose which parts of your CellarTracker account to bring across, and the matching runs on its own — no file to prepare, no queue, and nobody reviewing it. It is the only source you can start inside the iPhone, iPad and Android apps as well as on the web.

  1. Open the CellarTracker import — the paths are below.
  2. Turn the five options on or off. In the apps they all start on; on the web they all start off. At least one has to be on either way, so on the web you have to tick something before you can carry on.
  3. Enter your CellarTracker username — the handle, not the email address you sign in with — and your password.
  4. Tap Import, or Continue on the web. The app warns that connecting “can take up to a minute”; leave it alone until it finishes.

Your CellarTracker account is not touched. As the web page puts it, your data “will be transferred to InVintory but will remain in your CellarTracker account as well.”

Option What it brings Where it lands
Inventory
(My Collection on the web)
The bottles in your CellarTracker cellars, with their bin, size, purchase details and private notes Your cellars and fridges
Deliveries
(Pending delivery on the web)
Bottles CellarTracker has marked as still on their way A delivery you can receive later
Wishlist Wines you have wished for Your Wishlist list
Community Reviews
(Community reviews on the web)
Tasting notes you have written Public reviews on each wine ⚠️
History Bottles you have drunk Past bottles

That is the order the web lists them in. In the iPhone, iPad and Android apps Community Reviews is the second row rather than the fourth, so read the labels rather than counting down the list.

CellarTracker’s export only accepts a username and password, which we use only to fetch your data for the import. Two things go wrong:

  • Told your details are wrong? Use your CellarTracker handle, not your email address — the web app says so in as many words, and it is by far the most common cause.
  • Told we could not get your data? Either the CellarTracker collection is empty, or CellarTracker couldn’t be reached. Wait a few minutes and try again.
iPhone: Home → your profile photo → Settings → Collection settings → Import data → CellarTracker

On iPad, tap your profile photo in the top bar, then Settings, and pick the collection under Collections. On iPhone with an older iOS, tap Profile, then the gear in the top right, and pick it there.

Android: Home → your profile photo → Settings → Collection settings → Import data → Cellar Tracker
Web: app.invintory.com → Import Bottles → Import from → CellarTracker
