How to use notifications and notification settings
InVintory tells you about deliveries, imports, sensor alerts, wines to review, comments on your reviews and more. You read them in the notification centre behind the bell — on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web app — and you choose what you get, and where, in Notification settings.
Open your notifications
Section titled “Open your notifications”On iPhone, iPad and Android, tap the bell at the top of Home. A number on the bell shows how many notifications you haven’t read, up to 99+. Notifications are grouped by day, starting with Today, and unread ones have a shaded background.
iPhone, iPad & Android: Home → bellOn the web app, the bell is in the header:
- Point at the bell, or click it. The menu shows your newest unread notifications. When you close it, everything in it is marked as read.
- Click View all to open the full Notifications page.
- With nothing unread, clicking the bell goes straight to the Notifications page.
Web: Bell → View all → NotificationsOn a phone-sized screen, the web menu opens full screen.
Open what a notification is about
Section titled “Open what a notification is about”Tap or click a notification to mark it as read and go to what it’s about. Tapping a device notification on your phone opens the same place.

Some notifications, such as sensor alerts, don’t link anywhere. Tapping one of those only marks it as read.
Mark as read or delete
Section titled “Mark as read or delete”- Mark everything as read. Tap Mark all as read. On iPhone, iPad and Android it sits beside the first day’s heading; on the web it is at the top of the Notifications page. It only shows when you have unread notifications.
- Delete one on iPhone, iPad or Android. Swipe left on the notification and tap Delete.
- Delete one on the web. Hover over it, click the … button, then click Delete.
- Stop that kind of notification. On iPhone, iPad and Android, swipe left and tap Turn off. It switches off that whole topic. Topics you can’t switch off don’t offer it.
Open notification settings
Section titled “Open notification settings”The quickest way, on every device, is the gear in the notification centre.
iPhone, iPad & Android: Home → bell → gearWeb: Bell → gearYou can also get there from your settings. On iPhone, iPad and Android it is Notifications under Preferences, beside Language. On the web, click your profile picture in the header, click Settings, then under Notifications click Notification settings, or use the Settings button on the Notifications page.
Turn notifications on or off
Section titled “Turn notifications on or off”- Each topic has a checkbox on iPhone, iPad and Android, and a switch on the web. Turn it off to stop that topic. Turn it back on to get it on its default channels again.
- Open a topic with its arrow, then tick where you want to get it: In app, Email or Device notification (iPhone or Android). Each topic lists only the channels it can use.
- If you untick every channel, the topic turns off.
- To turn off every topic at once, tap Disable all at the top. When everything is off, the same button reads Enable all and turns every topic back on with its defaults.
If your phone blocks InVintory from sending notifications, the top of the page says You can’t receive device notifications. Tap Enable to allow them, or to open your phone’s settings if you turned them off there.
Choose when review reminders arrive
Section titled “Choose when review reminders arrive”- Make sure Reminders to write reviews is on, then open it.
- Under Notify me, pick After 1h, After 2h, After 6h, After 12h or After 24h. The default is After 24h.
- Or pick Specific day. Then choose a day of the week and set a time under At this time. The time uses your time zone.

Open it to choose channels once for the whole section, Email and Device notification (iPhone or Android), and to tick the topics you want under Topics.
