How to clear your Collection contents

Clearing empties a collection of every bottle without deleting the collection itself. Your cellars, fridges and the sections inside them stay exactly as they are — just empty. It is the right move before importing a complete file over a partial one.

Clearing a collection

  1. Open Collection settings for the collection you want to clear.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and tap the red Clear Collection Contents.
  3. Type the word it asks you for, then confirm. On the web the confirm button reads Delete.

Where to find it

iPhone:  Home → your profile photo → Settings → Collection settings → Clear Collection Contents

On iPad, tap your profile photo in the top bar, then Settings, and pick the collection under Collections. On iPhone with an older iOS, tap Profile, then the gear in the top right, and pick it there.

Android:  Home → your profile photo → Settings → Collection settings → Clear Collection Contents
Web:  app.invintory.com → Settings → your collection → Clear collection contents

What survives it

Section titled “What survives it”

Your cellars, fridges and sections are kept and left empty, along with your tag names, your custom field definitions and your reviews and tasting notes. What goes is every bottle — including everything in Past bottles — the tags and custom field values sitting on those bottles, and the activity history your analytics charts are drawn from.
