How to change your account settings

Account settings hold what belongs to you rather than to a collection: your name, username, bio, currency, location, language and appearance. Whatever you set here follows you into every collection you open.

iPhone: Home → your profile photo → Settings → Account settings

On iPad, tap your profile photo in the top bar, then Settings. On iPhone with an older iOS, tap Profile, then the gear in the top right.

  • Name and Username — the name on your profile and on the reviews you publish.
  • Bio — up to 300 characters.
  • Currency — the currency your prices are shown in.
  • Show Bottle Count — when on, the number of bottles in your collection is shown with your community reviews.

Location, under Preferences, sets your time zone. That is the clock we use for notifications scheduled for a set day and time, and for the dates in your analytics.

  1. Under Preferences, tap Location.
  2. Search for your city or town, or tap Use my current location. Until you pick one, the screen suggests a town under Detected.
  3. Tap the place. The app says Location updated.

If you never pick a place, we set your time zone for you.

The rest of Preferences is Language, Appearance (system, light or dark) and Notifications, where you choose what reaches you and how. Language has its own article, because the app has to restart to change it.

On Android 1.7.0 or later, open Home → your profile photo → Settings → Account settings. Location is under Preferences there too.

On app.invintory.com, open Settings. Your name, username and bio are under About me, with a counter that shows how many of the 300 characters you have used. Location is under Preferences, with a Use my location button.
