What is the fastest way to add bottles to my collection?

If your collection already exists as a file or on another wine app, import it — one upload beats hundreds of taps. If it only exists as bottles on a rack, scanning the labels with your camera is the quickest way in.

How your collection exists today Fastest route
A spreadsheet Import it on the web
A CellarTracker account Import it — in the app or on the web
A Vivino account Export from Vivino, then import that file on the web
Only the bottles themselves Scan the labels with your camera
A case or a delivery in front of you Scan them in a row with Multiple, then add them all at once — iPhone and Android, on a paid plan
A receipt or an invoice Scan the receipt and add every bottle on it at once
Nothing to hand Search wine by wine — quickest on a desktop keyboard

Every source is started on the web at app.invintory.com under Import Bottles; CellarTracker can also be started on iPhone, iPad and Android. CellarTracker and Vivino are matched automatically, so they are the quicker two — a spreadsheet is read by one of our sommeliers before the bottles land, which takes longer.

Web: app.invintory.com → Import Bottles → Import from

On iPhone and Android, tap the camera button in the tab bar; on iPad, the camera icon in Search all wines. Point it at the front or back of the label. Cursive and heavily decorated labels are what scanning struggles with; when one will not read, search for the wine instead. It is the same search on every platform and it is fastest typed on a desktop keyboard.

Either way, a wine we do not already have is created for you. The bottles are real and editable straight away — you are not waiting on anything — and catalogue details like the drink window and market value fill in once the wine is approved.
