Understanding your plan's limits
InVintory has two different kinds of limit: a feature that is closed until the collection is on a paid plan, and an allowance that you have some of and can run out of. They look different in the app and they are fixed differently.
What each limit looks like
Section titled “What each limit looks like”| What you see | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| A figure blurred behind a Learn More prompt, or a card offering plans where a list should be | The whole feature needs a paid plan | Move the collection to a plan that includes it |
| Storage Limit Reached — “Upgrade your plan to add more storages.” | You have used every cellar and fridge your plan allows | Delete one you no longer need, or upgrade |
| Create new tag opens an upgrade screen instead of the form | You are at your tag allowance | Delete a tag you have finished with, or upgrade. Your existing tags keep working either way |
| “1 scan left” under the wine-list camera, then a plan offer instead of a photo | Wine-list scans are counted | Upgrade to scan more menus |
| Free Limit Reached when you start a new Vincent chat | You are at your conversation allowance | Press and hold the old conversation in the chat list and delete it, or upgrade |
| Upload on a wine’s Photos screen opens plans | Photos you add to a wine are counted | Upgrade, or remove a photo you no longer want |
Three things worth knowing
Section titled “Three things worth knowing”Nothing already saved is taken away. Going over an allowance stops you adding the next one; it never removes what is there. Tags you have already applied still show, photos you have already uploaded still open, and every bottle stays where it is.
An allowance counts what exists right now. That is why deleting frees one up — remove an old Vincent conversation and you can start a new one, delete a cellar you no longer use and you can create another.
A shared collection uses its owner’s plan. If you are working in a collection someone invited you to, its limits are theirs, and asking them to upgrade is the only way to lift them. Your own collection keeps its own plan.
Checking what your plan allows
Section titled “Checking what your plan allows”iPhone: Home → your profile photo → Settings → Collection settings → SubscriptionOn iPad, tap your profile photo in the top bar, then Settings, and pick the collection under Collections. On iPhone with an older iOS, tap Profile, then the gear in the top right, and pick it there.
The Subscription row names the plan the collection is on. On iPhone and iPad the storages list also shows how many storages you have used out of the number your plan allows, in its title.
