Vincent Tasks: Manage Your Wine Cellar With AI

    What are Vincent Tasks?

Vincent Tasks are guided workflows you start from a new Vincent chat, such as reconciling your cellar or onboarding a batch of bottles, that Vincent carries out from start to finish.

When you open a new chat with Vincent, you now see redesigned task cards in place of the Vincent logo. Each card launches a bigger workflow right from the start, so you can begin a larger job straight away. That makes Vincent a practical way to manage your wine collection with AI, not just a place to ask questions.

Vincent Tasks are available on iPhone, iPad and the web. Vincent is available to Premium and Elite members, and you can see what each plan includes on our pricing page. We will let members know when these updates reach Android.

What can you ask Vincent to do?

    Reconcile my cellar

Tap the task card or type "Reconcile my cellar" in a new Vincent chat, and Vincent works through the job from start to finish. It is one of the two examples we launched with, and it is a whole-collection job rather than a single bottle edit, which is exactly what task cards are for.

    Onboard a batch of bottles

Tap the task card or type "Onboard a batch of bottles," or tell Vincent you want to onboard a batch of bottles into your collection, and Vincent can handle the whole job from start to finish. It is the one to reach for when you come home with more than a few bottles and do not want to add them one at a time.

If you only need to add a single bottle, you can still tell Vincent in a normal chat. Our post on how Vincent manages your collection shows how.

How are tasks different from a regular Vincent chat?

Tasks start bigger. A regular question, like what to open tonight, is a single exchange, while a task launches a larger workflow from the first screen. We have also made longer back and forth conversations about your collection more efficient, so staying in one chat to finish a job works better than before. Vincent is becoming the easiest place to start whenever you want to manage your cellar.

When should you use a task instead of editing bottles by hand?

Use a task when the job spans many bottles or several steps, such as reconciling a whole cellar or onboarding a batch. Edit by hand, or ask Vincent in a normal chat, when you are fixing one bottle: correcting a vintage, adding a single new purchase, or removing the bottle you just opened.

How do you start a Vincent Task?

    1. Update the InVintory app from the App Store on iPhone or iPad, or open the web app.
    2. Open Vincent and start a new chat.
    3. Tap a task card, or type a task such as "Reconcile my cellar" or "Onboard a batch of bottles."
    4. Stay in the chat to finish the job, and ask Vincent follow-up questions as you go.
